Rooted in Earth, Powered by Space: Living Planet Symposium 2025

As part of the Green Space Centre, we support global startup collaboration in Baden-Württemberg. Our betterSoil Farm Assistant leverages satellite data, AI, and regenerative practices to help farmers make smarter, data-driven decisions for healthier soils and sustainable yields.

    Global stage for earth observation

This invitation is more than just a milestone as it marks our active role in a growing international ecosystem focused on using space-based technologies to address the most pressing environmental and agricultural challenges of our time. As part of the Green Space Centre, we participate in their mission of advancing international outreach and startup collaborations in Baden-Württemberg. For us, it’s the perfect platform to showcase what we do and why it matters. This year’s theme, “From Observation to Climate Action and Sustainability for Earth,” reflects a decisive shift—moving beyond mapping to driving real-world solutions. Key priorities:

    • Digital Twin Earth (DestinE) – using integrated models to simulate and better predict changes in Earth systems.
    • Climate Action & Sustainability – leveraging Earth observation to shape smarter mitigation and adaptation strategies.
    • Digital Innovation & Green Solutions – tapping into AI, cloud computing, and big data to power climate-resilient tools.
    • Industry & Startup Collaboration – accelerating the uptake of space tech through startups like ours.

Advancing our vision from orbit to earth

Compared to previous symposiums, which largely focused on showcasing missions and general Earth Observation (EO) science, LPS 2025 represents a shift toward solutions and impact—how EO data can power climate innovation, regenerative systems, and practical tools that serve communities on the ground. The betterSoil Farm Assistant is being engineered to convert satellite-derived soil moisture, veg indices, weather patterns, and land-use history into actionable insights. This aligns perfectly with LPS 2025’s emphasis on turning observation into impact. As part of the Green Space Centre, we’re embedded within the New Space ecosystem; accessing expert mentorship and fostering strategic collaborations that can advance our mission. Moreover, our work aligns closely with DestinE, the Digital Twin Earth: while ESA builds Earth-system twins, betterSoil is developing a farm-scale soil twin, offering precision tools for regenerative land management. Together, we create solutions rooted in science, fueled by technology, and guided by a shared commitment to sustainability.
